This is totally random but remember a few years ago when I took on Savior of the World?  I was so stressed out, the time line was short and the budget non-existent.  Do you remember staying up late to help me cut the tunics?  You were my Superman.  You were super busy and we had piles of fabric for over 200 costumes everywhere and instead of complaining not only did I feel supported by your words but you jumped right in to help.  And your scissor skills were not bad either.

Today is mother's day and I love being a mom.  It's the greatest thing you have ever given me.  Our kids are a perfect blend between you and I and I love them tons and tons.
I woke up this morning to a fabulous breakfast in bed, 'not the cheap' bacon because life is too short for cheap bacon, eggs, toast, strawberries, juice and royal wedding magazines.  What a great way to start the day.  To add to my meat themed day (I'm the meat eater in the house)  you are making me very fancy steaks.  You got the kids ready for church and I've had so many moments to relax.  I love it and I love you.

Today I love that you are bilingual.  I love that we could go to another country (well, it would have to be Brazil or Portugal) and you could speak the native tongue.
It's Cinco De Mayo and I also love that you are big Mexican food fan!  Once when I was out of town for a week, you spent every mealtime at your favorite Mexican restaurant.  Every meal!  you wanted to see if you could do it and you did!  Way to reach for the stars or the tacos in this case!  I thought you would get burned out but it didn't work.  Ha ha ha.  I love you!

As Mother's Day approaches I remember it being important to me as we were dating that you loved your mom.  Now, I could handle you calling her a bit more, but I am so grateful to know of the admiration and respect you have for her.  She is an amazing woman and I still don't know how she raised you four kids pretty much on her own.  I am grateful to know that you love your family and that you feel family is important.  I am also thankful that you put our family first. I think it took a minute for both of us to truly understand what that meant but I feel like we do our own thing and are our own little family.  I love it and i love you!

Day 63

Someone recently asked me why I 'picked' you.  My first answer is always your sense of humor.  There's no hiding the fact that I am an emotional person who cries all the time.  So when I found someone who makes me laugh every single day, many times a day I said 'eureka!'
Also I love that what you see is what you get.  I love that I never have to wonder whether or not your mad at me.  I always know where I stand and I love it.  I love you!

Day 62

You have a tendency to loose track of time when you're playing with the kids.  I think if you are going to loose track of time, doing it because you are wrapped up a moment with your family, is probably the best way to do it.  The kids adore you (I would say almost as much as me) and they want to spend every minute of the day with you.  Without fail, every single morning they ask where you are.  After a bazillion times of telling them you are at work, they still ask.  They always want to know where you are and when they will see you next.  They can't wait, they love being your shadows.

A few Sundays ago a woman in our ward told the congregation she was proud of her kids because when asked what they would take with them on a sudden trip they said their scriptures.  Well, Dylan got asked the same thing today.  The teacher said, (in relation to the story of Lehi's family leaving Jerusalem)  "if your Mommy told you you had to quickly pack up your things and leave your home, what would you take?"

Dylan's answer touched my heart, he simply and without skipping a beat said, "Daddy."
